Vacancy as IT/Telecom Officer in IFRC

International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is currently looking for a qualified and committed candidate to fill the following position on a fixed term contract basis :

1. IT/Telecom Officer (ITO)
Location : Based in Jakarta, Indonesia
Reports to : ICT Coordinator
Start Date : Immediately

Purpose of the Post:

The Federation is required to provide ICT support services to several PNSs in those two locations. A full-time staff is required to provide IT/Telecom support to this office setup. Taking into consideration the Geographical nature of Indonesia, and the widely spread Red Cross/Red Crescent operations, travels within Indonesia to help and coordinate with other IT/Telecom officers is highly propable.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities :

 Provide support and incident / service request resolution for the office
(this may include installation, maintenance and repair
telecommunications and computer equipment). Participate in training and
development of expertise and resources for the Delegation office.

 Advocate and where possible implement Federation procedures and
standards in IT and telecoms. Assist with auditing on compliance with
policies and standards. Assist in developing procedures and standards
for input to the standardisation process of the Federation.

 Carry, under close supervision:
Installation and Maintenance :
•Install and ensure the effective functioning of computer equipment and
networks.
•Maintain and repair computer equipment (hardware / software) and
networks.
•Produce regular, timely and accurate narrative reports.
•Analyse the needs for the installation of IT and telecommunications
equipment, taking into account existing systems and applications, and
using existing Federation standards.

Support and Training :
•Provide appropriate and regular Training to users so that all computer
equipment and software is used in an appropriate way.
•Assist in the procurement of IT & Telecom equipment.
•Ensure the protection and integrity of Federation data and ensure that
facilities and procedures for regular backups are available and
operational.

Communication System
•Ensure effective functioning of communications equipment.
•Ensure that IT & Telecom equipment is inventoried and tracked properly.
•Assist in coordination with Telecom service provider.
•Assist in coordination with ISP for internet related issues of office
and delegate’s house.

Requirements :

• Diploma, or higher in IT or equivalent
• 2 years minimum of work in computer systems (LAN, WAN TCP/IP
connectivity, E-mail, application and user support domains)
• Good physical and mental health

Skills / Knowledge :

. Excellent computer skills ( MS-Windows, MS-Office and other
programmes); computer hardware maintenance & repair; MS-Windows
Server administration.
• Skills in wireless technologies, including HF and VHF radio
• English language fluency

Main Responsibilities

Ø Working closely with local and HO team, ensure precise reporting and experience sharing

Qualifications / Experience
Ø Bachelor Degree/master in agriculture or environmental engineering (social & economy accepted)
Ø Experience of working for at least 3 years in national/internatio nal NGO or development agency
Ø Good understanding of water as a global issue
Ø Management of budgets and precise reporting skills (narrative and financial)
Ø Experience in community development, and proven competency in participatory approaches
Ø Demonstrated ability in project development, design, implementation, evaluation as well as team building
Ø Good Command in English
Ø Fluent Javanese preferred

Organization
Ø Reporting structurally to Head of locations, with 70% time in Kebun Candi, and functionally to Sustainable Development & Social Responsibility Director
Ø Work cross functionally with local and HO teams

Senior Integrated School Development Coordinator - LAPIS

Duration and Timing of Inputs: 12 months (full time input)

Location: Jakarta, with occasional visits to activity sites

The Learning Assistance Program for Islamic Schools (LAPIS), supported by
the Australian Government, aims to contribute to the quality of basic
education in Islamic schools in Indonesia.
We are seeking expressions of interest from highly experienced professionals
for forthcoming opportunities. Applicants should have the following
experience and qualifications:


Essential

* Experience working in the field of education (minimum
3 years)

* Program management experience particularly in proposal
development, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building of
stakeholders

* Experience in managing activity budgets and financial
reporting

* Demonstrated experience in farming a maintaining
effective networks and partnerships

* Experience dealing with diverse groups, including
children

* Fluency in English (oral and written)

* Knowledge of and/or experience with the Islamic
education sub-sector


Desirable

* Demonstrated successful experience in community
development

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Integrated School Development will report directly to the LAPIS
General Manager and is contracted through the TCSC. S/he is responsible for:

* Oversee and coordinate all LAPIS field officers working on the
Integrated Schools Development Activity;

* Work collaboratively with LAPIS POs on integration activities.

* Design a merit based selection guidelines (using existing LAPIS
processes as a base) to offer support to LAPIS target schools regarding
SSFI, continuing study and other ad hoc needs.

* Evaluate any applications received, vet candidates, and make
recommendations to the LAB selection committee;

* Assist focus school to strengthen proposals;

* Oversee field officers to ensure they undertake ongoing
monitoring of a variety of activities;

* Facilitate access to resources and coordinate work with LAPIS
community development officers;

* Ensure all reporting deadlines are met and financial
documentation is tracked and acquitted to the LAPIS finance team;

* Participate on Technical Assistance Panels;

* Contribute to the development and appraisal of Scopes of
Service for subcontracted activities;

* Work closely with LAPIS community development officer,
technical advisors, LAPIS PMU colleagues and stakeholders; and

* Other duties as reasonably requested related to program
planning, development, management and oversight; and

* Other duties as reasonably requested by the LAPIS General
Manager and/or the LAPIS Senior Technical Advisor.
