Job Opportunity - ACDI/VOCA, ICT Specialist

ICT Specialist
We are currently seeking applicants for an ICT Specialist for the upcoming AMARTA II project. The AMARTA II project is a follow-on to the 4-year AMARTA project, and it aims to strengthen the value chains of three high-value commodities: coffee, cocoa and horticultural crops. The primary components of the project are Value Chain Strengthening; Increased Access to Agricultural Credit; and Improvement of the Policy a Regulatory Environment of the Agriculture Sector in Indonesia. This is a long-term opportunity and the position is immediately available. The position is based in Jakarta.
 
ACDI/VOCA recognizes the significant potential
to integrate mobile applications and other ICT concepts and technologies to
drive efficiency and sustainability on behalf of our agricultural value chain
work worldwide. For our project in Indonesia, ACDI/VOCA requires a full-time
ICT specialist to serve as an internal technical resource for project management
in the assessment of, as well as discussions and negotiations with, mobile
application providers that can improve access to financial services, enhance
access to markets, provide agricultural information and improve supply chain
efficiency for our USAID-funded work with cocoa (Sulawesi), coffee (Medan) and
horticulture (Bandung). 
 
Responsibilities:
 
·         Coordinate,
collaborate and communicate with AMARTA II project management and staff, client
banks/BPR's, Government of Indonesia (e.g. Central Bank, Vice President's
Poverty Alleviation Unit, etc.) and donors (e.g. USAID, AusAid) as well as the
ecosystem of mobile app and ICT providers. 
 
·         The
candidate will also report on lessons learned and best practices for each
mobile and other ICT application to inform ACDI/VOCA's continued use of
information technologies worldwide
 
Qualifications:
·         Experience
with one or more of the following platforms of mobile finance (m-wallets,
m-banking) as well as mobile monitoring (e.g. EpiSurveyor) and the strategic
use of system wide SMS broadcasts (FrontlineSMS) for push/pull of information
will be preferred. 
·    University
degree in Information Systems of Computer Science, or related subject
·         7+ years of ICT relevant experience 
·      Experience working on USAID-funded initiatives preferred
 
·      Indonesia experience required
·      Fluency inEnglishand native proficiency in Bahasa required
