Senior Integrated School Development Coordinator - LAPIS

Duration and Timing of Inputs: 12 months (full time input)

Location: Jakarta, with occasional visits to activity sites

The Learning Assistance Program for Islamic Schools (LAPIS), supported by
the Australian Government, aims to contribute to the quality of basic
education in Islamic schools in Indonesia.
We are seeking expressions of interest from highly experienced professionals
for forthcoming opportunities. Applicants should have the following
experience and qualifications:


Essential

* Experience working in the field of education (minimum
3 years)

* Program management experience particularly in proposal
development, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building of
stakeholders

* Experience in managing activity budgets and financial
reporting

* Demonstrated experience in farming a maintaining
effective networks and partnerships

* Experience dealing with diverse groups, including
children

* Fluency in English (oral and written)

* Knowledge of and/or experience with the Islamic
education sub-sector


Desirable

* Demonstrated successful experience in community
development

* Experience with micro-/medium enterprise development

* Understanding of and commitment to development
principles and aid effectiveness


Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Integrated School Development will report directly to the LAPIS
General Manager and is contracted through the TCSC. S/he is responsible for:

* Oversee and coordinate all LAPIS field officers working on the
Integrated Schools Development Activity;

* Work collaboratively with LAPIS POs on integration activities.

* Design a merit based selection guidelines (using existing LAPIS
processes as a base) to offer support to LAPIS target schools regarding
SSFI, continuing study and other ad hoc needs.

* Evaluate any applications received, vet candidates, and make
recommendations to the LAB selection committee;

* Assist focus school to strengthen proposals;

* Oversee field officers to ensure they undertake ongoing
monitoring of a variety of activities;

* Facilitate access to resources and coordinate work with LAPIS
community development officers;

* Ensure all reporting deadlines are met and financial
documentation is tracked and acquitted to the LAPIS finance team;

* Participate on Technical Assistance Panels;

* Contribute to the development and appraisal of Scopes of
Service for subcontracted activities;

* Work closely with LAPIS community development officer,
technical advisors, LAPIS PMU colleagues and stakeholders; and

* Other duties as reasonably requested related to program
planning, development, management and oversight; and

* Other duties as reasonably requested by the LAPIS General
Manager and/or the LAPIS Senior Technical Advisor.

The position is opened for Indonesian only and high level of spoken English
required.
