The role of the MRC is to co-ordinate and promote co-operation in all fields of sustainable development, utilization, management and conservation of the water and related resources of the Mekong Basin.

Procurement of Consultancy to upgrade and redesign MRC's main website and integrate other MRC websites

The Mekong River Commission Secretariat invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for consultancy services for the Procurement of Consultancy to upgrade and redesign MRC website and integrate other MRC websites. The consultancy services consist of 2 phases:

Phase 1:
This phase will undertake a scoping of a conceptual redesign of the
website to ensure that the key messages of the MRC are delivered and
reflect the needs of the target audience.

Phase 2:
This phase will serve to incorporate all suggestions from phase 1 to
be in a new site design and launch the new site. The consultant will
design and construct a single website system that will offer the
services of the four current sites and leave the potential to be
further developed to include a document management system via the
MRCS Intranet.

The bidding shall be conducted according to the single envelope
system. The bid shall contain a technical proposal for each phase
together with a detailed financial proposal for phase one.

The deadline for submission of the bids is Thursday the 15th of
January 2009 5:00 pm

Any additional information required in the preparation of the bid may
be requested by writing to the address mentioned above. The MRC will
reply in writing and all replies will be posted on the MRC's website.
Unsuccessful bidders will be notified after the contract with the
winner has become effective. MRC is not bound to accept any of the
proposals that it may receive.
