Looking for Policy Analyst - AIPI (Indonesian Academy of Sciences)

AIPI (Indonesian Academy of Sciences) seeks two highly motivated, of integrity, and organized individuals, capable of serving as policy analysts for the joint report on Maternal and Neonatal Health between AIPI and the US National Academy of Sciences. Upon completion of the project these individuals are expected to serve as policy analyst of AIPI. Applicants are expected to be able to work as a team.

Duties include:
* Gather, review, and synthesize information/ published articles from a wide range of sources to help explore the issues on maternal and neonatal health in Indonesia;
* Analyze how various policy ideas and programs could affect the problems and suggest solutions;
* Provide committee members with data and analyses about the effects of different maternal and neonatal health programs and/o policies; 
* Communicate regularly with committee members and co-director to ensure information flow and adherence to the project goals, policies and timelines; and
* Submit verbal and written reports in an accurate and timely manner as required.

Requirements:
* Must be fluent in English, both oral and written
* High level of independence, and demonstrates the core competencies of communication, productivity, quality, and responsiveness
* Having an extensive research background, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills, and interpreting and synthesizing journal articles for literature review
* Capable of developing new initiatives from concept through implementation
* Ability to gather, read, and analyze manuals, legal documents, technical reports, and professional journals
* Ability to work with the internet, computer and statistical software packages 

Training and Experience:
-
Have an extensive experience as a policy analyst or researcher 
- Min Masters but preferable a Ph.D. in any of the health or social sciences.
