Vacancies at Chemonics HELM Project

Chemonics International, a global international development consulting firm (www.chemonics. com), seeks qualified Indonesian specialists for a USAID higher education program in Indonesia. The USAID Higher Education Leadership and Management project (HELM) is a 5 year program that aims to
improve the academic performance of Indonesian higher education sectors through analytical support for strategic planning and policy analysis and design of approaches for effective implementation of key reforms across the education system. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world who can fill the following long term positions:

* ** *

*1. **Education Research Coordinator*

· Collect data from a variety of government and Higher Education sources; **

· Support the project with presentation and analysis of data; **

· Work closely with technical teams to ensure rigor and accuracy of data and background materials site for program work.* *

1. *Education Leadership and Management** Specialist*

· Past experience supporting, Higher Education leadership;

· Develop the capacity of education institutions to operate effectively and efficiently;

· Experience at the higher education level required.

1. *University and Business Specialist *

· Past experience developing and managing relationships betweenIndonesian universities and with regional and international universities oracademic bodies. As well as partnerships with private sector entities.

· Past experience with partnerships involving education institutions required. Responsible for providing general support, coordination, and on-the-ground trouble-shooting for these institutional
partnerships.

1. *Quality Assurance Specialist – *we are seeking short term candidates for this position

· Past experience with quality assurance (including qualifications, licensing, accreditation, and graduation requirements) at the university level.

· Proven experience in undertaking activities aimed at enabling higher education institutions to develop quality assurance approaches supportive of the sustained delivery and continuous improvement of quality teaching, research and service, particularly as it relates to ensuring the value and relevance of such programs to external stakeholders (i.e., private and public sector employers).

Qualifications for the technical positions (post no. 1 to 4) listed above are:

- B.A./B.S. in higher education, education, or relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred

- Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience

- Proven experience developing and fostering public-private partnerships

- Familiarity with Indonesian higher education systems preferred

- Experience working with international donors or organizations preferred

- Interest in working with a multi-cultural, international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia

*5. **Administrative Assistant Receptionist*

· Guest greeter, phone operator

· Letter and memo drafting, provide document translation from Bahasa Indonesia to English and vice versa, as needed

· Arrange appointments as needed including transportation and lodging bookings

· Maintaining, keeping the record and updating the administrative general filing system

· Prepare official expenses, submit to finance department

· Serve as back-up office manager as needed

Qualifications for the Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist position noted above are:

- At least 3-5 years administrative management experience, preferably with large-scale international projects.**

- Successful experience working in a diverse, face-paced environment.

- Excellent computer and typing skills including, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook exchange email system, and desktop publishing software such as Adobe, Photoshop, and other similar programs.

- Versed in office administration duties including faxing, photocopying, answering phones, arranging meetings.

- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years administrative experience required.

- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian required.**

- Experience in design and layout of reports and communications products highly preferred.**
