Programme Assistant (VAM and M&E)

World Food Programme, Indonesia invites applications from the eligible 
candidates for the following position: 

Position: Programme Assistant (VAM and M&E) 
Contract Type: SSA/Service Contract 
Duty Station: Kupang, Indonesia 

Accountabilities: Within the assigned unit, the Programme Assistant will
be responsible for the following duties: 
Assist VAM CO in capacity development of the government 
counterparts, provincial and district levels on food security analysis and 
mapping, particularly food security monitoring systems and food security 
and vulnerability atlas; 
Assist Kupang SO and CO in organizing workshop and training 
related to VAM activities for government and/or other implementing 
partners as required; 
Assist in Emergency Food Security Assessment, conducted by WFP as 
well as other joint rapid assessments conducted by government and/or other 
UN agencies or NGOs if required; 
Assist in surveys related to WFP program evaluation/follow- up 
surveys in WFP operational areas in NTT province; 
Maintain and strengthen collaboration with key government, 
non-government and UN agencies in the field of food security monitoring 
and mapping in NTT; 
Monitor and compile information from various sources (government, 
NGO, university, etc) related to food security, disaster, and poverty 
issues in NTT province; 
Enhance and maintain relationship with key local government and 
non-government agencies related with VAM activities; 
Assist in financial and administrative work related to the VAM; 
Under the supervision of M&E Officer, assist SO in M&E data 
collection, as required; 
Assist in financial and administrative work related to the VAM; 
and 
Perform other duties as required 

Qualifications and Experiences: 

Education: Secondary school education, preferably supplemented by courses 
in human resources, public administration, transport, development 
economics or other related field. 
Experience: At least three years of progressively responsible experience 
of which at least one year was closely related to programme functions. 
Knowledge: Training and/or experience utilizing computers including word 
processing, spreadsheet and other software packages. 
Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia. 
Other Desirable Skills: Training and/or experience using Word, and Excel; 
WFP’s Information Systems (WINGS) and other WFP software; knowledge of WFP 
financial regulations; and rules and WFP policies and procedures in the 
area of work. Knowledge of SPSS is a must.
